Who we are

This website is operated by PlumbRite Plumbing & Heating, a Gas Safe registered plumbing and heating business serving Poole, Bournemouth, Christchurch and the wider Dorset area. For the purposes of UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), we are the data controller for the information you give us through this site.

What we collect, and why

We only collect information you give us deliberately — there are no tracking pixels or advertising cookies on this site. The main way we collect personal information is through the contact form on our Contact page.

When you send us a message we collect:

• •Your name — so we know who we're talking to.
• •Phone number — so we can call you back about the job.
• •Email address — so we can reply in writing if that suits you better.
• •Service you need and your area (optional) — so we can route the enquiry to the right engineer.
• •Your message — the description of the work you'd like done.

We use these details for one purpose only: to respond to your enquiry and, if you go ahead with a job, to arrange and carry out the work. We will not add you to a marketing list, sell your details, or share them with third parties for advertising.

Our legal basis

We rely on two lawful bases under the UK GDPR:

• •Consent — when you fill in and send the contact form, you're asking us to respond, which is your consent for us to use the details you provided.
• •Legitimate interests — if you become a customer, we keep a record of the work we've done for you (so we can answer follow-up questions, honour any guarantees, and meet our own legal and tax obligations).

Who processes your information

Contact form submissions are delivered to us through Web3Forms, a service that handles the form processing and emails each enquiry to us on our behalf. Web3Forms acts as our data processor — they pass the information on securely so we can read your enquiry, but they do not use it for their own purposes. We may also use standard business tools (such as email and accounting software) to manage the job after you make contact. We do not transfer your data outside the UK or EEA to any country without an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards.

How long we keep it

If your enquiry doesn't turn into a job, we delete the contact-form record within 24 months. If we do work for you, we keep your contact details and the job record for as long as we're legally required to — typically 6 years for tax and accounting purposes — and then we delete them.

Cookies

This site does not set advertising or analytics cookies. The only cookies that may be set are essential ones needed for the site itself to work. If that ever changes, we'll update this notice and ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:

• •Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you.
• •Ask us to correct anything that's wrong.
• •Ask us to delete your information (subject to our legal obligation to keep job records for tax purposes).
